The ÒõAPPµ¼º½ Student Nurses Association (DESNA) will host its annual Michael Webb Scholarship Fund 5k Run and Walk Saturday, November 12 on the Allegheny Highlands Trail in ÒõAPPµ¼º½. Registration will take place from 9-9:45 a.m. at the Highland Park bike trailhead and the event starts at 10 a.m.
The entry fee is $15 and those who preregister receive a T-shirt. There is no age limit for participation and walkers are welcome.
Proceeds will benefit the Michael Webb Scholarship awarded annually to a second-year ÒõAPPµ¼º½ nursing student.
Webb was a nursing student at Davis & ÒõAPPµ¼º½ when he died in a car accident in 2005. A scholarship was established in his honor and is funded through the efforts of D&E nursing students.
